Client wanted an existing bed sorted out and an area for a small patio and Bar B Q. I built this basic pergola and then the  planting either side. As you can see we've reused a lot of waste materials - there used to be a greenhouse on this site so it made the digging a bit of a sweat !

Nearly finished now - just a bit more painting to do. Patio and paths all in. Planted up the left hand bed.

This is the right hand bed and as you can see I've used some railway sleepers to edge everything. We thought it all looked a bit 'New' when it was nearing completion, so we've toned down the timber with a wood treatment.

You can't quite see it but we've planted two grape vines in each corner - the site is quite sunny and they should take well in the years to come. You never know, we might even get some grapes !

Completed left hand bed - planting was a bit difficult as there wasn't much soil and depth due to the original greenhouse foundations. Managed to get it sorted - as the flowers prove. It's quite low maintenence as well.

Not mine, but something simular but on a bigger scale. Quite simple to do, this pergola can either stand seperate or bolt it to an existing building.

Now we're talking ! Stunning circular pergola, nice rustic paving and fresh planting. Not a cheap project but if you're looking for something special, this is it.

16 sq meters of riven rustic paving. I've set it on a bit of a slope so the water drains away from the house.

Quite a big steps project - and I've used local welsh stone for the risers which match existing structures in the garden. Quite big foundations for this one as there's a fair bit of weight once all the concrete / slabs and stone have been laid. Area to the right of the steps is for raised beds and planting.

Slightly different steps project. Client needed old steps sorted and there was quite a fall between the garden and back lane. We deliberatly didn't want a design too modern and clean as Made out of concrete blocks I've been back after this picture was taken and added a Hand rail, Gate and Archway.
